Within the framework of the strategy of the Cultural and Heritage Programs and Festivals Management Committee in Abu Dhabi, and its continuous keenness to introduce the folklore and enhance its role in building the national identity, the importance of establishing a competitive Gulf program for the performer Al Mankoos comes in.
In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the program hosts participants from all countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to compete for the performance of Tarj Al Mankoos, one of the Emirati and Gulf heritage arts for singing Nabati poetry. Participants enter this competition through several stages, starting from the stage of auditions to the live episodes, and concluding with the victory of one participant to be the champion of the season in the performance of Tarij Al-Mankoos.

Program Episodes
The participants perform auditions in front of the jury to be evaluated and determine the most qualified and qualified to access the live episodes, where the auditions will be broadcast during two recording episodes.
8 episodes are in front of the audience and broadcast live, and it includes the competitions of the participants who qualified from the documentary episodes, and the course of each episode proceeds according to a specific mechanism until the title holder in the final episode.
8 recording episodes, in which the weekly activities, visits and events of the participants are reviewed, away from the competition atmosphere. These episodes are shown during the weeks of the live episodes.

The Cultural and Heritage Festivals and Programs Management Committee was established by a decision issued by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on February 3 , 2013 .
The vision and strategy of the committee aims to enhance the values of loyalty and belonging through the practice of the authentic Emirati heritage. It also works to consolidate the values of the Emirati heritage in loyalty and loyalty to the leadership and the homeland as an authentic role model and ensuring its sustainability.

The committee manages many festivals and heritage and cultural programs that play a prominent role in preserving heritage and promoting its practice, especially among younger generations, which contributes to preserving this heritage, and highlights the values of patriotism and loyalty to leadership, including the “Million’s Poet” program, the “Prince of Poets” program. The cultural heritage “The Badge” program, Liwa Dates Festival, Al Dhafra Festival, International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, International Bizra Friendship Festival, Al Dhafra Water Festival, National Day activities, Poetry Academy, Baynouna TV Channel, Abu Dhabi Folklore Troupe, Poet of the Million Magazine, Shati’ magazine The New York Film Academy, as well as any cultural or heritage program, festival, or event commissioned by the Committee.
